Why do I love playing at weddings??

Weddings are a special occasion for the bride and groom and their loved ones for many reasons. Many couples choose to publicly display their marriage vows and legal union during the wedding ceremony. Most couples use their wedding as an opportunity to declare their undying devotion to one another.

Once all of the formalities are over…. IT'S TIME TO PARTY!!!! That's where I come in. Everyone has had such a great day and is on a high and it's then, my job, to keep the good vibes coming!! I know it sounds creepy but I just love people watching from stage. Weddings are great for this because everyone is just enjoying themselves so much. They have just watched two of their good friends or family get married, they are surrounded by loved ones, some that they probably haven't seen since the last big family event and food is great and the drinks are plenty!! All of the ingredients for a truly unforgettable day/night.

The fun is infectious and I can't help but get overwhelmed by everything that is going on and these are just a few reasons why I love playing at weddings!!

Kicking the bottle, the wet is OVER, and a Cape York trip on the horizon!!!

Hi friends!! Well I don't know about everybody else but I had a great wet season!! I did a lot of relaxing, I did a lot of reflecting and I had a lot of time to work on myself for the better. In the wake of the COVID 19 pandemic I must say that overall, I have made some great positive changes in the past 2 years. These changes didn't come without their hardships, as do most lifestyle changes. But my biggest achievement I have managed to kick the bottle, change my life completely around and become a much more positive, strong, clear-minded, healthier person and what was, initially a 12 month booze free challenge has now become a newly adopted lifestyle for good!!! (I'm as surprised as everyone else that knows me well) I am very excited about this year and I can't wait to see what it has in stall for me!! I am also super excited about my upcoming Cape York tour which starts on June 13th and will have me driving all around the Cape playing music until BMUP Festival near Cooktown in August!! But until then, it is super busy in my little hometown of Port Douglas and there are tourists everywhere, hungry for live music and I am happily dishing out the tunes to them!! It is great to see a bit of a buzz back in this beautiful little slice of tropical paradise!! If you see me playing around the area, please make sure that you come and say G'day!! Wet Season is Upon Us

Well it's that time of year again folks... That's right, It's WET SEASON!!! Steamy days and stormy nights, the creeks will be full and the waterfalls will be roaring. I LOVE IT!!! There are so many reasons to come and visit the north in wet season. The rainforest really comes alive in the wet. Everything is so green and lush and the beaches are basically empty. So as you walk down Fourmile Beach to gather your thoughts you will really feel like you have the whole place to yourself. But don't worry, the pubs are still pumping out the live music all weekend! All of your favorite restaurants will have room for you to sit down and have a magnificent dining experience and there will be room to breath. So come and say hello, take a deep breath and relax with us Far North Queensland style.

Another Successful Summer Tour

Well I would just like to thank everyone in all of the places that we visited who touched our souls on this tour. From the Tropical Rain forest of the far north, through all of the beautiful beaches that Queensland has to offer, the Markets in Eumundi, The pretty hectic Byron bay hustle and bustle, The hidden little coves of NSW, the friendly people of Sydney, The castle in Bonnie Doon, The pumping waves in southern Victoria, The great Tassie wilderness. It was truly an amazing experience and I cant wait to do it all again. I'm back at home now and enjoying the fact that I have a solid place to call home and having a blast catching up with all of my Far North Queensland family. Not a day goes by when I'm away on tour when I don't miss all of my good friends at home,YOU GUYS ROCK!!!

East Coast Tour 2018/2019 and New Album Launch!!

It's time to pick up the guitar and didge and hit the road again!! I will be starting my tour on Nov 28th Heading from Port Douglas down all the way to Tasmania and Back again. All up I will be on the road for 5 months!!! I can't wait to play my new music all the way down the coast to some old friends and make some new one's while I'm at it. I will have a new Album with me as well!! I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I did making it. Seeya soon friends

Hard act to follow!!!

Hey Guys and Gals, So on Thursday night, as some of you already know, I got to support James Reyne for a private function at Hemingways Brewery Port Douglas. Let me be the first to tell you, He's still got it!! That unmistakable voice. Along with his smooth as silk lead guitarist Josh Owen who complimented him beautifully, The pair are a duo to be reckoned with. I played for an hour before a quick cane toad race and then The big act. The only catch for me was I had another hour of music to play STRAIGHT AFTER JAMES REYNE!!!!!! It was a hard transition, but I did what I do best and Played my arse off and eventually everyone was back up on the dance floor. Thak you to everyone for a fun and fantastic night. Cheers.

Video Shoot

Hi friends, Just to let you all know, that in the next couple of weeks, I will be involved in a video shoot for some of my originals. It's in an old corrugated iron, bar setting. It should be amazing!!! Anyway, just a heads up to keep your ear to the ground. I'll keep you posted.

IT"S EAST COAST TOUR TIME AGAIN!!!

Hey friends, It's that time again!!!! That's right I'm coming down the coast and hopefully playing in a bar near you. Go to my shows section for info about venues and times. I'm really looking forward to saying hello to some old friends and making a few new ones along the way. My Lovely girlfriend Anne-Sophie will be joining me so if you see her in the crowd go and say G'day. We are going to be doing alot of camping along the way in our new decked out camper. We are so excited get on the road again!!! Seeya along the way friends.

Thank you BMUP & The Lions Den Hotel

I would just love to say Thankyou to everyone involve with both the Black Mountain Unplugged Festival and also the Lions Den Hotel. I had the amazing opportunity to play at both the festival and then for the next four days the Lions den hotel. Th festival started off with a bang as all the musicians swung into action with the likes of Lilly and King, Katie Jay, The Road Trippers, The Hillbilly Goats, Shane Howard and his Trio and many more very talented Musicians. It really set the vibe of being on the beautiful bush property when Australian icon Shane Howard come onstage and started serenading us with a bountiful set of his wonderful songs and ballads of this amazing land that we live in. But BY FAR!!!! My highlight was when he called me up to play the yidaki (didgeridoo) for the opening of "Solid Rock", a song which became a hit that Shane wrote while in his band Goanna. It was truly an Unforgettable moment that is burnt into my memories until the light dies in my eyes.
After the festival I also hosted lunch and dinner slots and a jam session every night at the lions den hotel. I would firstly like to thank all of the staff at the den for taking care of me and everybody involved in the jam sessions. I have never been looked after so much by an establishment in the time that I have been playing music professionally. It was an honor to play there and I look forward to next time!!! Thanks again crew!!!!
